Does anyone know the quickest way I can learn how to teleport? You see, I know a lot about world geography and am very passionate about going to different places, but my financial position at present is constraining me from doing what I want. I am aware that God/ Infinite Intelligence is within all of us, so I trust what psychic and parapsychologists say that we all have the faculty for teleportation. Now, if one of you knows how, please let me know.
You may just give me your email address and we’ll just communicate thru yahoo! if you don’t want other people to know that you know how.
Thanks…
You seem to be way too smart to be this much of a nutcase.

Ted Owen claimed to be the world’s most gifted psychic. He could control the weather and create lightning on demand. He predicted strange phenomena, but said he had caused them to happen after having conversations with ‘Space Intelligences’.
Community of parapsychologists was reluctant to work with him. Why? Didn’t they take him seriously? Was it because he could be vicious? Or did they think that the world was not ready for Owens’ kind of supernatural talents?
The community of parapsychologist like any other community of scientist do not speak with one voice nor hold a standard set of beliefs about what to study or how to study it. I have included a link for you below to the Parapsychological Association so you may familiarize yourself with the various types of research in the field.
In fact Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD. wrote an entire book called
"The PK Man: A True Story of Mind Over Matter" about Ted Owens.
Other more experimentally minded parapsychologist would have wanted him to take PK test (like the PEAR lab) or ESP tests and other tests with easily controllable variables. The weather and lightning are not easily controlled variables.
How one would experimentally confirm he was having telepathic communication with aliens is perhaps a problem for which they could not formulate a testable hypothesis.
How would you suggest this be tested?

I’m always hoping that there are parapsychologists on here who can answer my questions based on their research and experiences. ..since parapsychology is supposed to be the study of paranormal phenomenon. I don’t post experiences on here just to share them..but to get better answers. What’s YOUR reason?
TR..The thing is…most skeptics stop with a possible "natural" explanation. For example…believing all UFOs are weather balloons…or seeing or hearing ghosts is a mental hallucination..then drugging the victim..or giving them electric shock..based on your "natural" explanation. That’s why most posters come here, I think. They’ve already spent years accepting "natural" explanations..and have finally realized "natural" is no longer a possible explanation. Of course there are lots of things that have acceptable natural explanations..but not ALL.When you have high officials admitting to UFOs and thousands of videos showing them..all different shapes and sizes…then you’ve got to take your head out of the sand. And obviously there are millions of people who believe in life after death or there wouldn’t be any churches or religions.
To find out more. This is a great site; more access and feedback than other sites. It would seem there’s more questions than answers, but all of our input adds up to more perspective. Life is amazing!

What does it mean to be skeptical?
What does it mean to cast doubt on something you feel is not right, despite popular consensus?
What does one refer to when judging whether or not something is real?
The following is a crash course on common claims that have failed under proper scientific scrutiny.
Homeopathy
Reiki
Magnetic Healing
Applied Kinesiology
Iridology
Vertebral Subluxations (meaning having your back cracked by a Chiropractor)
Acupuncture
Chi
(Pretty much every form of alternative medicine)
Childhood Vaccinations Causing Autism
The plausibility and existence of supernatural entities
(such as ghosts, poltergeists, angels, and gods. this includes any and all gods) creationism/intelligent design, miracles and the power of prayer
As well as the existence of:
ESP/telekinesis
Psychic Powers
Telepathy
Thus the Credibility of Parapsychology
Any form of:
Spoon Bending
Tarot Card Reading
Palm Reading
Fortune Telling
Astrology
Clairvoyance
Dream Premonitions
Topics in crypto-zoology:
Bigfoot
The Loch Ness Monster
Chupacabra
Mothman
Rod Insects
Yetti
Unicorns
Fairys etc
Alien Visitations
UFOs
Crop Circles
Repressed Memories
Dowsing
Conspiracy Theories and the list goes on
No one wants to be called gullible.
When all else fails you must ask yourself , “how likely is the claim”. “who is informing me of this claim and is their a chance they could be biased towards it”. “what natural laws or scientific theories does the claim bend or completely defy in order to be possible?”. “has real scientific evidence been presented, or does it rely on testimonial evidence, or any subjective evidence”?
consider this a primer for a greater understanding of reality. It might be difficult at first to look skeptically at a commonly accepted claim or belief system, but you owe it to yourself to find the truth as it is based in reality. The scientific method is our legacy, it is a testament to the need to really know why and to the many great thinkers who came before us and cleared a path through the think entanglement of superstitions and pseudo-science. It’s in our nature to as “Why” and we developed the discipline of skepticism to make sure our answers are based in reality. Because if our answers aren’t based in reality, then they are just bullshit.

Author Stacy Horn discussed her research into the work of Dr. J.B. Rhine who led the Duke University Parapsychology Lab from 1930 to 1980. Prof. Rhine was
the first to apply the scientific method in studying parapsychology and came up with repeatable experiments that showed telepathy, psychokinesis, and
precognition do exist, to some degree. For instance, Zener Cards that depict five different designs were used in double blind studies and demonstrated that
some people have ESP abilities.
Horn went through boxes of Rhine’s correspondence with well known figures such as Einstein & Nixon, as well as people involved in paranormal activity such
as Rev. Luther Schultz who initially dealt with the “possessed” boy in the 1949 case that the movie & book The Exorcist was based on. Schultz believed that
a poltergeist was the cause of the disruptions rather than demonic possession, she noted. The Rhine Lab investigated cases of poltergeist activity, and
their possible connections to psychokinetic abilities. It found that 17 out of 65 cases had no normal explanation, she reported.
Throughout his half-century of research, Rhine’s work faced negative and disparaging reactions from scientists at large, said Horn. After his death, the
Parapsychology Lab left Duke, and reformed as the private Rhine Research Center. While Princeton’s PEAR Lab closed in 2007, the University of Virginia
currently offers a Division of Perceptual Studies which studies the paranormal.

Certain surprising mainstream scientific discoveries during the last twenty years are forcing shifts in dismissive attitudes toward the parapsychological and other forms of exceptional human experiencing. These discoveries – including the discovery of dark matter interpenetrating dark energy, of subtle and exotic energies, of multiple dimensions, and, most suggestively, of empathic-telepathic cells in the brain that function to “mind-read” or detect motives and intentions of others – all appear to be based on processes that are not rooted in physical matter. While information about these discoveries can be found on the Internet, few have used them to project future developments.
Since 1970, Ingo Swann has worked with nearly forty cutting-edge researchers in the fields of parapsychology, psychoenergetics, and super sensitivity perception.

OPAR interview segment addressing one of the most overlooked issues as to why investigating paranormal phenomena and why parapsychology itself is not a yet accepted by mainstream science. Saenz mentions that currently there is no unified theory in the field, the three main types of groups & individuals interested in paranormal phenomena and outlines the importance of walking a fine line between being a skeptic and being honest.
