Has a parapsychologist, how will you motivate your student who is lazy and dull to learn effectively in the cl?

Has a parapsychologist, how will you motivate your student who is lazy and dull to learn effectively in the class

There was a storyteller. He tried to tell a story to a group of kids. His voice was monotone, his hand gestures were lame, and the timing of the unsuspenseful story was off. The kids grew bored of the story. To his amazement they all got up and loudly started playing games with each other; completely ignoring him. The storyteller was left standing by himself….wondering where all his listeners went.

As the storyteller stood there he got an idea. Without ordering the kids to sit down and listen, he pretended to stumble back like he was having a heartattack and then suddenly collapsed onto the floor. In less than two seconds flat all of the kids froze in their tracks and their attention was drawn to the storyteller. It was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. The storyteller teller lay on the floor a little bit too long for comfort. Some kids just stared, their eyes big with question marks. Others started freaking out. And then one brave soul dared to check for a pulse. Slowly he bent down to touch the storyteller’s neck with his finger. The storyteller quickly lifted his head off the floor and said, "BOO!" The kid about peed his pants. Relieved, the kids laughed to release the nervous tension in the room. After a few seconds the storyteller said, "Once upon a time there was a man who died. Well, in reality, he nearly died. Would you like to hear his story?" The kids, now intrigued, gave an unanimous, "yeah." And the rest is history.

The moral of the story:

Discover your STUDENT’S WORLDVIEW of the subject of paraphyscology(ie; what it is that draws them to a paraphyscology class in the first place). Then, use EACH class session to TELL A STORY(not necessarily in words) about parapsychology in different and creative ways according to their worldview.

……..

(If what I just said doesn’t make sense, think of the story that you have in your head that keeps YOU fascinated in parapsychology. Then, try to discover the same thing in your students.)
